WoW Rogue Guide - How to play the class since Legion

The Rogue in WoW has always been a sneaky assassin of the shadows, possessing not only stealth or strong swords, but also damage over time (DoTs). With us, beginners will learn everything they need to know about the popular class.

If you want to play a Rogue in WoW, you can choose between three specializations: Assassin Rogue, Lawless Rogue and Deception Rogue. But to give you an overview first, we'll go over the basics of the class.

Basics in the Beginner's Guide to Rogues in WoW

To help you get acquainted with the Rogue before you decide on one of the three specializations, we'll start by giving you some basic WoW tips for the class.

• Rascals are melee fighters who use light cloth and leather armor.
• In addition to your life gauge, your rogue has another bar. This is not some mana like some other classes, but the yellow gauge is your energy. This is the resource for your attacks.
• Unlike warriors and other melee fighters, rogues want to attack from ambush.
• You use poisons on your melee weapons to deal damage over time. Poisons play a particularly important role in assassinating rogues.
