Metro Exodus: System requirements at a glance

Metro Exodus convinced despite the debate about the exclusivity in the Epic Games Store. The gritty shooter looks excellent, but these visuals require appropriate hardware. We present the system requirements.

Performance in demand: Metro Exodus does not have the lowest hardware requirements.

The Metro series lives from its atmosphere. This includes impressive graphics as well as strong visual effects - so the hardware has to do some real work.

Metro Exodus: System requirements cover a wide spectrum

According to the developer, these are the minimum requirements:

• CPU: Intel Core i5-4440 (or similar)
• Graphics card: GeForce GTX 670 / GeForce 1050 or AMD Radeon HD 7870
• Memory: 8 GB RAM

The following hardware is recommended:

• CPU: Intel Core i7-4770k (or similar)
• Graphics card: GeForce GTX 1070 / GeForce RTX 2060 or AMD Radeon RX Vega 56
• Memory: 8 GB RAM

With the latter configuration, around 60 FPS in a resolution of 1080p is possible. If you want more, you'll have to make another leap in hardware: For 60 FPS at 1440p, an Intel Core i7-8700K, a graphics card of the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti category and 16 GB of RAM are required. For the absolute maximum, namely ultra-high settings in 4K resolution, an Intel Core i9-9900K and a GeForce RTX 2080 Ti should be available.
