When creating a website and its content, the question of whether it should rather be solved in HTML5 or Flash is a constant companion. Especially when embedding videos, this plays a major role, as not all browsers support HTML5, but Flash is installed by most users anyway.

HTML5 or Flash? These are the advantages of Flash

Generally, it is pure preference which variant you prefer for the website. However, your choice may leave you with more work than you originally planned.

1. The rendering of videos can become problematic across browsers when HTML5 is used. The reason for this is simply that not all browsers support HTML5. The Adobe Flash Player, on the other hand, most users have installed anyway.
2. Also the presentation of the player itself is platform-dependent and can not be kept completely uniform by creating with HTML.
3. When integrating web-based games, Flash allows a much easier integration and scores with functionality.

1. Flash has some security vulnerabilities, which are now used as popular entry windows for hacker attacks.
