Android: Enable Bluetooth - these options are available

Most Android smartphones now have a Bluetooth standard integrated. This allows you to connect other Bluetooth-enabled devices to your phone and control them via an app. However, before this is possible, you must first activate the corresponding function on your Android device.

How to activate Bluetooth on your Android device

Before you can connect your Android smartphone to a Bluetooth device, it is necessary to activate the corresponding function on the device. Depending on the Android version, the procedure for doing so may differ. Usually, you can find the corresponding option in the settings of your smartphone.
  1. Open the Settings app on your device.
  2. Select the "Connections" option by tapping on it.
  3. Here you will now see all the connection options. Select the item "Bluetooth". Tap on the switch to the right of it to activate Bluetooth.
  4. Once you have activated the standard, your smartphone will automatically search for Bluetooth devices in your vicinity. Alternatively, select the option "Scan".
  5. Now select the device you want to connect to in the list. Tap on the corresponding entry.
  6. Once the connection is established, you will see the device in the "Paired devices" area.
