Samsung Galaxy A90: Hotspot - how to set it up

Users of the Samsung Galaxy A90 have the option of sharing the device's mobile Internet connection via a hotspot. However, in order for the usage to work, the hotspot needs to be set up beforehand. We explain how this works via WLAN or USB here.

How to set up a WLAN hotspot on the Samsung Galaxy A90

If you have a device that can only access the Internet via WLAN and not via mobile data, you still have the option of surfing on the go. To do so, simply set up a hotspot on the Samsung Galaxy A90 to share the smartphone's mobile data. To set up a WLAN hotspot on the Samsung Galaxy A90, please proceed as follows:
  1. First, open the Settings app on the Samsung Galaxy A90 and tap the "Connections" item in it.
  2. In the Connections section, then navigate to "Mobile Hotspot and Tethering" and select the "Mobile Hotspot" option.
  3. After you have activated the option "Mobile Hotspot", please specify a name and a password for the hotspot and confirm the setup with "OK".

Samsung Galaxy A90: Other options for setting up a hotspot

If you do not want to share the Internet connection of your Samsung Galaxy A90 with another mobile device, but with a PC or laptop, there is another option for this. To do this, first connect the two devices via USB cable and then go to "Settings" > "Connections" > "Mobile Hotspot and Tethering" on your Samsung smartphone to activate the "USB Tethering" option.
