iPhone: Display weather in the notification center

A daily update on whether the day is more likely to be sunny or rainy is already handy in the morning when you pick out your clothes. To make this quick and easy, you can display the weather in your notification center on your iPhone.

How to view weather in the notification center on iPhone

The iPhone comes with a weather app pre-installed, which you can use to check what the weather will be like in your city. However, you'll always have the info in view if you display the weather in your iPhone's notification center instead. For this to work, the iPhone uses your GPS data. So you don't get the weather for your hometown, but always for your current location without having to change anything. You therefore activate the function in the location services.
  1. Go to the settings of your iPhone and open the menu "Privacy".
  2. Then navigate to "Location Services".
  3. In the list of location services now look for the entry "Weather". Activate the function by tapping the slider to the right of it.
  4. The weather is now displayed in the message center. By the way, this also works on the iPad.

Open message center

If you now want to open the message center on the iPhone to view the weather forecast, first tap the very top of the screen so that the status bar opens. Then swipe from the very top to the very bottom of the entire screen. This works best if you use three fingers for this.
