Android Q: Delete cookies - how to do it

Cookies are used in browsers to store data locally. This is usually the so-called session ID. This allows the web server to remember who you are and, for example, you are assigned the same shopping cart when shopping. However, you can also delete the cookies.

How are cookies deleted on Android Q?

Since cookies take up a not exactly small amount of memory over time, it is sometimes necessary to delete them to get new memory again. Also, sometimes websites may not load properly because cookies cannot be read properly. In this case, all cookies should be deleted so that they are completely re-requested.
  1. Deleting cookies is done in different ways from browser to browser.
  2. In the default Android Chrome browser, you can delete cookies by opening the browser and then tapping on the three small dots in the top right corner.
  3. Now continue to "History" and select "Clear browser data".
  4. Select "Total time" to delete the entire history or set a time period for which the cookies should be deleted.
  5. Now mark the terms "Cookies and website data" and "Images and files in cache" and then go to "Delete data".
  6. After deleting, you may have to log in again on some websites.
