AirPlay: How to stream content on iPhone 12

Want to view photos or videos on a TV and organize a slideshow for your friends? In the past, you had to transfer the images to a computer and connect it to your TV via cable to do so. AirPlay saves you this detour. The app streams content directly to a compatible TV via WLAN. If you have an Apple TV, AirPlay works in any case. For other smart TVs, you can check the user manual to see if the device is compatible.

Share videos with AirPlay

1. Connect your iPhone 12 and your smart TV or TV stick to the same WLAN.
2. Take the iPhone in hand and open the video or photo you want to stream.
3. Tap the icon at the bottom left to open the Share menu. It's a rectangle with an arrow.
4. Tap the small TV then to launch AirPlay.
5. The list will show the connected devices. Select your Smart TV.
6. The video will now stream.
7. To stop streaming, tap the same button again.
