PlayStation 4: Set up and use Airplay

Sony launched the Playstation 4 in 2013 and has since enjoyed great success with the console. Especially due to the good mix of multimedia and the video game function, the PS4 is suitable for every household. Moreover, you can even control the console with your smartphone.

There are two ways to control the PS4 via an external device:

• You can control the PS4 via the PS Vita, if you have one. This will stream the full content to Sony's handheld. Alternatively, you use it as a controller.
• Your iOS or Android device offers a similar function. Via Airplay, it is possible for you to use your smartphone or tablet as a controller for your Playstation 4. Use your smartphone to control the console and perform various maneuvers. Or remotely power up or power down your PS4. This way, you can start downloads even before you arrive home. What does not work with it, however: streaming games.

How does PS4 Airplay work?
