O2: Forgot your pin - this is how you get access

If you have forgotten your pin at O2, it can happen that access to your smartphone is blocked as soon as you have entered an incorrect code three times. However, there are several ways to regain access.

This is what you need to do if you have forgotten your O2 pin

The advantage is that once you have signed your contract, O2 will provide you with a customer account that you can view on your computer.
  1. Use your registration data and log in to "My O2". You will need either your cell phone number or the stored e-mail address and your password.
  2. In the menu, you can view various items. Look for the tab "My data" and click on it.
  3. You will now find the option "View my O2 pin and PUK". Click on it and view the four-digit pin as well as the eight-digit PUK.
  4. If you have already entered the wrong pin three times, you must first use the PUK to unlock your device.
  5. You must now enter a new pin and confirm the entry. The change will also be stored in your O2 account. Since this may take some time, you should write down your pin separately.

What if the PUK does not work?

If the PUK does not provide a way to access your smartphone, you need to dial the O2 hotline. For this, you will need your first and last name as well as your date of birth. Subsequently, the support will change your data.
