Android 9: Forgot pin - what you can do now

You can lock your Android 9 devices with an unlock pattern, fingerprint or pin. This way, only people you trust will have access to the device. If you have set a pin and forgotten it, you will not be able to access your device. However, the problem can be fixed via Google.

What you can do if you forgot the pin of your Android 9 device

If you locked your Android smartphone or tablet with a pin, you can only access the content if you enter it beforehand. However, if you have forgotten the pin, you can set a new pin via your Google account.

1. To do this, go to Google via a browser of your choice and log in there with your account details.
2. Now click on the account settings and then on "Security".
3. Here you switch to the item "My devices".
4. Now you can see all the devices on which you are logged in with your Google account.
