Printing from your cell phone - these are the possibilities

If you have photos or files on your cell phone that you would like to print, it is not necessary to transfer them to the PC separately. Depending on the printer you use, printing from your phone via app or email is possible. How this works exactly, we explain here.

This is how printing on the cell phone via app is possible

To print photos or documents that are on your cell phone, you have several options. Thus, most printer manufacturers, such as HP, Canon or Epson, offer their own cell phone apps, with which you can send the files to be printed directly to the printer.

1. To print from the cell phone, first download the appropriate app for your printer from the Play Store or App Store.
2. Then open it and search for your printer to connect it and the cell phone via the WLAN network.
3. If the printer is found, you can use it directly for printing. Please note here, however, that not every app supports all print formats and you may only be able to print photos.

Other methods for printing from the mobile phone

If you are using a printer for which no cell phone app is offered by the manufacturer, printing is alternatively possible with the app of a third-party provider. Apps such as PrintBot or Cloud Print allow you to print image files, but also documents in PDF and DOC format for free. If you have a printer from HP, Brother or Epson, printing from your phone is also possible without an app. Instead, create a separate email address for your printer and send the files to be printed to the device by mail.
