Amazon: Credit purchase now possible - together with Barclaycard

Amazon has added an important option to its payment methods. Together with Barclaycard, purchases on credit were integrated into the store in November 2020. We have all the info.

On installments: Thanks to the cooperation with Barclaycard, Amazon now also offers credit purchases.

The activation of the credit purchase shortly before Christmas was probably no coincidence. It is all the more important to know the conditions.

Amazon: So works the credit purchase via Barclaycard

To buy via credit you should know this info:

• The order must be at least 100 and may be a maximum of 3,000 euros.
• With the term for repayment, you have a choice. The options depend on the amount of the loan. In principle, terms of three to 48 months are possible.
• This is an effective annual interest rate of 7.69 percent.

To note are also the conditions under which the credit purchase appears as an option at all:

• The item must be in stock.
• Digital products (including services such as Prime), pre-orders and vouchers can not be paid by credit.
• You must have indicated a residence in Germany and be at least 18 years old.

The financing is initiated, verified and processed during the payment process. This requires a registration with Barclaycard.
