Retreat: How to buy on Shpock
The flea market app Shpock offers you the opportunity to sell things you no longer need. But you can also use the platform to search for things in your area yourself and make purchases. To do this, call up the "Discover" section in the Shpock app or on the platform and enter a keyword. Once you've found an item you like, simply tap the "Private Offer" button and negotiate with the seller. Once both you and the seller have confirmed the deal, the purchase is made. This is your option to withdraw from a purchase
Shpock's terms and conditions state that a purchase is considered binding once one party accepts an offer made and the other party confirms it. If you have only made an offer to a seller so far, it is not yet binding.- Once you have made an offer for an item, you can cancel it at any time as long as the seller has not yet accepted it.
- Once a purchase has been made by confirming an offer, it is usually no longer possible to withdraw from it.
- This is due to the fact that it is a contract of sale between private individuals and the statutory right of withdrawal does not apply here.
- You can, however, try to contact the seller in chat and ask them to withdraw from the purchase.
