PlayStation 4: Report players - how it works

When you use the PlayStation 4 network, certain rules apply. If other players do not abide by them and insult or threaten you, you can report this at any time. Find out here how to properly report a player and how to alternatively block a player.

How to report a player on the PlayStation 4

If you have been insulted or threatened by other players, you can report it directly through your PlayStation 4. Also, if you discover user profiles that contain sexist or racist content, you have the option to report it.
  1. When you report a player, a game's moderators will step in and check if the user is blocked.
  2. To report a player, you need their name and you need to go to the user's profile.
  3. Once you are on the player's profile, please press the options button on your controller and select the "Report" option.
  4. Answer the necessary questions to tell the moderators why you are reporting the particular player and finally click first on "Next" and then on "Submit".

Instead of reporting: How to block other PlayStation 4 players

If you do not want to report other players to the moderators, you can simply block him. Once you have blocked a player, they will no longer be able to interact with you directly or send you messages, invitations or friend requests. To block a PS4 player, please select your local account and press the "Up Button" to open the function menu. There, select the "Friends off" option, search for the player you want to block and add it to the blocked players list under "Options" > "Block".
