If you have Bitdefender installed on your PC, it protects your computer from viruses and malware. However, if Bitdefender causes problems when installing or opening other programs and files, it can be turned off or completely uninstalled in just a few steps.

If problems occur when installing other programs, this may be caused by antivirus software. If you use the Bitdefender program on your PC or laptop, the problem can be fixed by temporarily disabling Defender.

If you want to completely uninstall Bitdefender from your PC instead of just temporarily turning it off, you can do so from your computer's Control Panel. If you are using a Windows PC, click the Windows icon to open the Start menu and click "Control Panel" there. If you use a newer PC with Windows 8 or Windows 10, press the Windows key on your keyboard and search for the term "Control Panel" to find and open it.
