Fix WhatsApp chat: How easy it works

Every WhatsApp user knows: Some chats are more important than others. WhatsApp has also recognized this and therefore built in a function that allows you to fix individual chats at the top of the history. Our guide explains how it works.

With WhatsApp, you can fix chats and thus keep them at the top of the list.

It can be very handy to be able to access certain chats quickly without having to search for them for a long time. With fixed chats, this is exactly what is possible.

Fix WhatsApp chat: Only a few finger movements needed

To fix a WhatsApp chat on your Android, follow these steps:

1. Open the chat overview.
2. Press your finger a little longer on the chat you want to fix.
3. After about a second, the chat will be highlighted and additional options will appear at the top of the menu. Tap the icon with the pin.

The chat then moves to the top and stays there even if you receive newer messages in other chats. The rest of the chats are still sorted chronologically below it. On the right side of the chat window you will also see the pin icon, which shows that the chat has been fixed. In the same way, you can of course unpin the chat.

Pin chat on iPhone: Here's how

As an iOS user, it is also quick and easy to pin a chat in WhatsApp. Die Vorgehensweise unterscheidet sich nur leicht von Android-Geräten.

1. Öffnen Sie zuerst die Chat-Übersicht in WhatsApp.
2. Wischen Sie den Chat, den Sie anpinnen möchten, nach rechts.
