eBay: Forgot your password - how to reset it

If you have forgotten the password of your eBay account, it is no longer possible to log in to the platform. Therefore, to regain access to your account, your only option is to reset the forgotten password and set a new one.

What to do if you forget your eBay password

If you regularly buy or sell things you no longer need on eBay, you will need a personal account to do so. Since this is protected by a password, it is not possible to access your account if you have forgotten your password. In this case, your only option is to change your password as follows:

1. Go to the eBay website in your browser at "https://fyp.ebay.de/" and enter your email address or the username you use on eBay.
2. Then click "Next" and select whether you want to reset your password via SMS or email.
3. Depending on the option selected, you will then receive an SMS with a PIN code or an email with a link that you must follow to change your password.

How to change your eBay password

If you still have access to your eBay account and would like to change your password for logging into the sales platform, this is possible via the settings. To do this, click on your eBay username in the top right corner and select the "Account Settings" option. In the settings, then go to "eBay account" > "Personal data" and click next to the "Password" entry on "Edit" to set a new password.
