Web.com password forgotten: What you can do now

If you want to use Web.de's mail service, you need your username and password to log in. If you have forgotten your password, you can use your browser to find out or even reset it.

If you have forgotten your password for Web.de, it may still be stored in your browser and you can view it.
  • In Firefox you will find it under "Settings > Security > Saved passwords".
  • In Chrome you will find it under "Settings > Passwords".
  • In other browsers, the path is similar.
  • You can manage your passwords using a password manager such as Steganos Password Manager to keep track of different services.

Reset password yourself

If you have stored contact information with which you can identify yourself, the password will be sent to you. To do this, simply click on "Forgot password" when logging in to Web.de. Then identify yourself with the stored cell phone number or another email address.

Let Web.de reset password

If you can not recover your password and you have not stored any ways to identify, you can have it reset by Web.de's customer service. However, this will cost some money.
  1. Visit the Web.de website. Then click "Forgot password" in the fields where you would enter your password and username.
  2. Enter your username, enter the captcha and click "Next".
  3. After that, you will be prompted to call a paid hotline. Your password will then be reset with an employee.
