• All photos you take with your iPhone or iPad are automatically uploaded to "My Photostream". Live photos are excluded.
• The requirement is that you use the same Apple ID on the devices.

• However, the photos are only ever stored there for 30 days. After that, you will only find them in your device storage or in a cloud storage, if you have uploaded the photos there.
