Apple Pay: Face ID - how authentication works

With Apple Pay, you can make contactless payments both online and in various stores. To do this, you can simply use your Apple device and authenticate yourself on your smartphone, tablet or even Apple Watch at the same time.

How Face ID works with Apple Pay

In order to use the feature on your Apple device, it must first be set up. To do this, you need, for example, a credit, debit or prepaid card, whose data you need to deposit during registration.

Paying in the store

1. For the use of Apple Pay with Face ID, the smartphone is required in the store. To do this, press the side button twice, after which your default card will be activated. If you want to pay with another card, you can then select it.
2. Now look at the screen of your iPhone to identify yourself via Face ID. Ist dies nicht möglich, können Sie auch „Mit Code bezahlen“ auswählen und darüber bezahlen.

In der App oder im Browser bezahlen

1. Nach der Aufgabe Ihrer Bestellung wählen Sie dafür „Mit Apple Pay kaufen“ aus oder Sie selektieren Apple Pay als Zahlungsmethode.
2. Bestätigen Sie nun die Daten oder nutzen Sie eine andere Karte für den Bezahlvorgang.
3. Jetzt drücken Sie zweimal auf die Seitentaste Ihres iPhones oder iPads.
4. Schauen Sie nun auf den Bildschirm Ihres Gerätes und warten Sie, bis ein Häkchen sowie das Wort „Fertig“ erscheinen.
