SWTOR: An unspecified error has occurred

Star Wars: The Old Republic (SWTOR for short) is an online role-playing game set three hundred years after the events of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. If an error occurs during gameplay, this can have different causes. For this reason, several steps are necessary to solve the problem.

If the message "An unspecified error has occurred in the application" is displayed while playing or launching Star Wars: The Old Republic, this can have various causes. In most cases, however, the problem can be solved in just a few steps.

1. First, restart the application and check if this step already solves the error.
2. If this does not help, try to start SWTOR as administrator. To do this, right-click on the application and select "Run as administrator" from the context menu.
3. Next, open the SWTOR folder on your computer. Dieser befindet sich meist unter „Programme“.
4. Suchen Sie dort den „BitRaider“-Ordner und löschen Sie diesen von Ihrem PC.
5. Wenn Sie nun das Spiel neu starten, wird das Programm den Fehler selbst beheben.
6. Tritt der Fehler dennoch auf, schalten Sie beim Start kurz Ihre Firewall oder Ihr Antivirenprogramm aus. Überprüfen Sie, ob SWTOR auf der Liste der zugelassenen Software ist.
