Far Cry is one of the most successful shooter franchises of this time and the next sequel is already set. Our guide names the official release date and gives a preview of the sixth part.

On to the big city: Far Cry 6 breaks new ground in the setting.

The name Far Cry stands for adventure in tropical worlds. This feeling is to be conveyed with the upcoming part also away from jungle, coast, hinterland and mountains.

Far Cry 6: Release only 2021

Passing the announcement of the release date appeared a first preview of the content of Far Cry 6:

• Far Cry 6 will be released on February 18, 2021.
• The title will be partly set in a fictional, Latin American city. This is called Yara and is based on Cuba.
• The urban environment is a novelty in the series and should open up new perspectives. Guerrilla action against the backdrop of a despotically ruled country with a desire for revolution - this combination sounds promising.
• The main villain is called Antón Castillo and it will probably be one of the player's goals to overthrow him.
• The game will be released for PC and consoles. Both Sony and Microsoft will support both generations; the Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 will have been released by this time.
