Google AdSense: Block ads - how it works

Most AdSense users have ads automatically selected and displayed by Google, as this offers the best chance of success. However, you can manually exclude certain ads from rotation.

You can easily block unwanted ads in AdSense.

Some ads don't necessarily look legitimate, or they just don't fit the character of your site. For whatever reason, you can block them on your own.

How to block certain AdSense ads

Proceed as follows:
  1. Log in to AdSense.
  2. Click on "Blocks" in the navigation bar on the left.
  3. In the right pane, you will now see a large number of possible ad banners. To block a banner, click on the "Block" icon at the bottom left of the banner.
In this move, you also have the option to report the banner if you believe it violates Google's policies. To better keep track of the large number of banners, you can narrow down the search at the top, for example by entering a URL or brand name.
