Samsung Galaxy A90: AirPlay - how to do it

On the Samsung Galaxy A90, AirPlay is not available by default. To still use the wireless technology developed by Apple, it is necessary to install additional apps on the Samsung smartphone. We will show you which apps are available for this purpose and how to use them properly.

Samsung Galaxy A90: How to use AirPlay

AirPlay is a wireless technology developed by Apple to exchange media data between different Apple devices. Since AirPlay was developed specifically for Apple devices, it can only be used on the Samsung Galaxy A90 in a roundabout way.
  1. If you have videos or photos on your Samsung Galaxy A90 that you want to stream to an Apple TV to watch them on the TV, you will need the "AllCast" app.
  2. To do this, first download the app to your smartphone by searching for "AllCast" in the Play Store and tapping "Install".
  3. Then launch the app, wait for it to find the Apple TV as a receiving device, and select the photos, video, or music you want to stream from the Samsung Galaxy A90.

Setting up the Samsung Galaxy A90 as an AirPlay receiver

Alternatively, you can also turn the Samsung Galaxy A90 into an AirPlay receiver yourself. To turn your smartphone into an AirPlay receiver, one option is to use Kodi. To do so, download the APK file of Kodi to your Samsung Galaxy A90 and set up AirPlay in the app under "Services" > "AirPlay" by tapping on "Activate AirPlay support". After that, you will see your Samsung Galaxy A90 on an iOS device named Kodi and files can be sent via AirPlay without any problems.
