Sky Ticket and Sky Go: What's the difference?

The variety of offers at Sky is often difficult for prospective customers to keep track of. For a basic understanding, it is important to know how Sky Ticket and Sky Go actually differ.

Similar but different: Sky Ticket and Sky Go are by no means the same thing.

This is because Sky has long since responded to the online era. This means: a receiver is not absolutely necessary. This also affects the subscription models.

Sky Ticket and Sky Go: difference simply explained

Sky Ticket and Sky Go differ in the following points:
  • With Sky Go, you receive Sky content without a receiver, only an Internet-enabled mobile device such as tablet or smartphone or even notebook / PC is necessary. But: Sky Go can not be booked separately, it is always an extension to the regular Sky subscription.
  • Sky Ticket is the alternative: This is a pure streaming offer, whose packages are predominantly cancellable monthly. An Internet connection is required for reception, not a receiver.
The common feature of both models is thus that they do not require a receiver, as they run via online streaming. However, Sky Go is an add-on to Sky Q, while Sky Ticket is more flexibly oriented and can be booked independently.
