Latex: Insert paragraph - how to format your document

With latex you can already set all the necessary formatting at the beginning of your document. This will save you the work at the end. In addition to the paragraph, line spacing, or even font type and size, you can make numerous other settings that format your document the way you want.

How to insert a paragraph in latex

In latex you can not only insert images and set font colors. You also have the option to specify the various spacing of your document in advance. Latex will subsequently ensure that this is adhered to.
  1. If you want to insert spacing, then all you have to do is insert two blank lines on the code page. This way, a blank line is not directly created in your document, but the next paragraph will be indented.
  2. Another option is to use the "\par" command. You have to write this in a blank line in the code.
  3. To create a blank line also in your document between two paragraphs, you just have to insert a double backslash at the end of the paragraph where the spacing should be done, i.e. "\\".
  4. To prevent Latex from indenting the first line of the next paragraph, you must leave a blank line after the double backslash and start the next paragraph with a double backslash again.
When creating your document, make sure that you use paragraphs to improve clarity, but still use them sparingly.
