organize iPhone contacts into groups: How to do it
If your contact list on the iPhone is so long that the overview suffers, you can easily organize your contacts into groups. The easiest way to do this is via the iCloud rather than directly on your iPhone.
The bad news first: There is no built-in function yet to divide contacts into different groups on the iPhone. You either need an additional app, for example Address Book Plus, or you use the iCloud.Alternative: Divide contacts into groups via the iCloud
In Apple's online storage iCloud, the group function is fortunately available to you. You use it as follows:- Log in to icloud.com in the browser with your Apple ID.
- Click on "Contacts".
- Click on "Add" in the sidebar (recognizable by the plus symbol) and then select "New Group".
- Enter a name for the group and confirm the name with "Enter".
- Open "All Contacts".
- Just drag the contacts you want to add to the new group there.
