Valheim: How to read the in-game compendium

Valheim thrives not only on exploring a mystical world, but also on discovering numerous features that are not immediately obvious. In the in-game compendium you can find a little help.

A compendium is a reference book for many purposes. In Valheim, you can get info on various game elements there.

The compendium is easy to find:

1. Press "Tab".
2. Select the menu item with the raven icon in the upper right corner.

This symbol stands for Hugin, i.e. the bird that also occasionally appears in the game to give you tips.In the opened compendium you will find a longer list of entries on various aspects of the game. For example, "Active Effects" is particularly interesting, since it provides you with concrete numbers about buffs and debuffs. Other info entries concern items, areas and raw materials - so it won't hurt newcomers in particular to open the compendium once (or several times).
