iPhone Memory Free - How to Create Space Again

Over time, your iPhone accumulates a large number of downloads, photos and apps that block valuable storage space. There are several ways to free up memory again.

Check your iPhone's storage

Installed apps take up a large amount of your available storage space. Therefore, it is worth checking which apps you really need and uninstall unused apps.

1. To do this, go to the "Settings" menu > "General" > "Device Storage".
2. Now you will see a list of all the apps installed on your iPhone. To delete individual apps, click on them and select "Delete App".
3. You may also see a list of suggestions in this menu, which data you can delete.
4. You can also delete individual apps from the homescreen of your iPhone. To do this, press and hold the app icon until it starts to wiggle. Now click on the "x" to remove the app.

Optimize settings

You can also save a lot of storage space by optimizing settings.

• When recording videos, your iPhone saves them in full HD resolution at 1080p. Reduce the resolution to 720p to reduce memory consumption.
• When taking photos, if you use HDR optimization, your iPhone will not only save the optimized image, but also the normal photo. Navigate to "Settings"> "Camera" and change the slider setting next to "Smart HDR".
• If you use multiple iOS devices, purchased apps and music are automatically downloaded to all devices and consume storage space. Change this in the settings under "iTunes & App Stores".
