Create a broadcast list in WhatsApp

A broadcast list lets you send a message to a specific group of people on WhatsApp without having to keep selecting them. If someone replies to you on this message, you will get the reply in a normal chat window. Creating a broadcast list is quite easy.

How is a broadcast list created in WhatsApp?

A message sent via a broadcast list is received by the recipient as a normal message in a chat window. Messages can be sent to multiple people at the same time or build a message channel. You can create, edit and delete broadcast lists.

1. To create a broadcast list, you need to switch to the WhatsApp chat window.
2. Now tap "broadcast lists" at the top.
3. Press "new list" at the bottom and add contacts by name or with the plus icon over your contacts.
4. Have you added all the people, complete the process by clicking "Create".

Edit Broadcast List

If you want to edit or delete a broadcast list, this is done by going to the overview of broadcast lists and swipe here a list to the left. Now you can delete it. If you want to edit the list, you have to press the (i)-symbol. Now you can give the list a new name or change the contacts in the list. To limit spam on WhatsApp, the forwarding function has been changed. However, with a broadcast list you can still send messages to multiple people at once, but they must have your phone number in the contact list.
