iPhone: How to delete your Instagram account

If you have the Instagram app installed on your iPhone, you can not only post your own pictures, but also follow what pictures your friends or favorite stars post. If you no longer use your account, follow these steps to delete it:

1. First, open the Instagram app on your iPhone by tapping the app icon.
2. In the app, then tap the person-shaped icon at the bottom right to go to the account area.
3. Open the settings there by tapping on the "gear icon" and navigate in these to "Help" > "Manage the account" > "Delete your account".
4. Select the option "Delete your account page", enter your username and password of your account and tap "Login".
5. Now still specify a reason for deletion and tap "Done". To confirm, please enter your password again and tap "Delete my account permanently".

How to delete Instagram app from iPhone

Having successfully deleted your Instagram account, you can remove the app from your iPhone. To do so, return to the Home screen, look for the Instagram app icon and press and hold it until the icon starts to wiggle and an "X" appears. Tap on it and confirm the uninstallation of the app by selecting "Delete".
