Zoom: Turn off the camera - how to do it

Zoom is a platform where you can hold and participate in meetings and video conferences. In doing so, all you need to participate is an Internet-enabled device, as well as a microphone and a webcam. In addition to the conference function, many other features are also available.

How to turn off the camera in Zoom

When using Zoom, you usually use a microphone and a webcam. However, if you do not want to use your camera once, then there are several ways to turn it off. You can deactivate them temporarily or permanently. The basic requirement for this is merely an account with Zoom.

Permanently:

1. If you would like to deactivate your camera by default before joining a meeting, then first log in to Zoom with your access data.
2. Then switch to the "Settings".
3. There you click on the "Video" option.
4. In this section you will find all the settings options you can make in relation to your camera.
5. So you can select the output camera here, but also specify how your camera should be used during a meeting.
6. To turn off the camera permanently, check the box "Always turn off video when joining meeting".

Temporarily:
