Sharing the printer on your network in Windows 8
To allow other users on your network to access a shared printer, share the printer in Windows 8. This is accomplished through the Control Panel:- First, open the Control Panel. The fastest way to find it is to type the term in the search box and click the search result with the same name.
- Now switch the view to "Small icons" so that you can see all the menus of the Control Panel.
- Open the "Devices and Printers" menu.
- Followed by right-click on the printer you want to share on the network in Windows 8.
- Open the printer properties.
- Now switch to the "Sharing" tab and click "Change sharing options".
- Set a check mark at "Share printer", set a name with which the printer is displayed in the network and click "OK".
