EA and Steam have joined forces to form a partnership. The background is that EA would like to offer games to Steam users.

• Steam continues to be the most important PC platform in the world. The reach for publishers and developers is consequently highest there.
• Nevertheless, there are still no flat rate subscription models on Steam, as they are currently strongly trending. In EA's case, it is Origin Access for PC.
• With not only its own games but also Origin Access available on Steam, EA obviously wants to achieve greater reach in subscription marketing.
• The manager believes that subscription fatigue will develop and then the service that is easiest to reach will be the most successful.
