Netflix: These are the costs 2020 - all info at a glance

Netflix is now firmly part of millions of German living rooms. The streaming service's years of success have led to an ever-increasing selection, and with it, rising prices.

The consequences of growth: Netflix has become more extensive over the years - and a bit more expensive.

In this 2016 post, we had presented the cost of Netflix subscriptions. Since four years have passed since then, it is time for an update.

Netflix: Costs and subscription variants 2020 at a glance

The costs mentioned in the linked article have long since ceased to apply. As of the end of 2020, it looks like this:

• The basic subscription costs 7.99 euros per month. One device at a time can use the service in standard resolution.
• For 11.99 euros per month, you get the standard subscription for two parallel streams in FullHD resolution.
• With the premium subscription for 15.99 euros per month, four devices are allowed to use the account at the same time, 4K resolution is possible.

Nothing has thus changed in the subscription variants and features, only the prices were raised. However, this does not apply to the basic subscription - this has always cost 7.99 euros per month. Standard and Premium have become 2 and 4 euros more expensive; who shares the account with other users, for which the surcharge is still lower and alone because of the higher resolution to cope.Also still valid is also that new customers can use the free trial month.
