Radeon Adrenalin 2020: The new software at a glance
At the beginning of December 2019, AMD released a retread of the Radeon driver software. Our guide explains what's new and what the Adrenalin 2020 edition has to offer.
AMD likes to launch updates at the end of the year. In winter 2020, it is especially worthwhile to take a look at the changes for owners of Radeon RX 580 and Co.Just in time for Christmas: Everything new with Adrenalin 2020
Adrenalin 2020 is more than just a normal update, as it completely renovates the user interface. In addition, many new features are on board:- Generally, you can expect a completely new design: menu navigation, fonts and other elements have been revised, only the Radeon colors red and gray have remained the same.
- One of the most important innovations for gamers is the possibility to link game clients like Steam directly with Adrenalin and start them from there (under "Home").
- "Streaming" is now a separate menu item due to increasing popularity and offers improved options, first and foremost the "Scene Editor".
- The tuning tool, formerly known as WattMan, no longer bears this name. However, the tuning options have remained the same, you can find them under "Performance" -> "Configuration".
- Basically, the update promises an FPS increase, in some titles up to 12 percent.
- Information about the system status (under "Performance") can be displayed via "Metrics Overlay" fixed on the desktop.
- In addition, a separate browser has been integrated.
