The route of the second stage of the 2019 Tour de France
A team time trial where teamwork will make the difference. The second stage of the Tour de France measures 27.6 kilometers, starting from the Royal Palace of Brussels and arriving at the Atomium, a building built for the 1958 Expo, the year in which the Grande Boucle started right from the Belgian capital. Vincenzo Nibali and the Team Bahrain-Merida, instead, will have to try to defend themselves and to lose as little as possible. A gap under a minute would already be a great result. The same goes for Fabio Aru's Team Emirates, which does not have any great specialists in the team.
