From July 6 to 28, 2019 the Tour de France 2019, the most important cycling stage race in the World, will be run. The 2019 edition is highly anticipated by fans: it starts in Brussels and not in France and celebrates one hundred years of the Yellow Jersey. In order to improve the disappointing show of the last years, the organizers have decided to decrease the time trial kilometers and to increase the Grand Prix of the Mountain that will be thirty.
We will climb almost all the historical mountains of the French stage race: the Isoard, the Galibier, the Tourmalet and La Planche de Bes Filles. Just this last climb will be the first test to understand who are the favorites to win the 2019 Tour de France (the sixth stage from Mulhouse to La Planche de Bes Filles). In the list of favorites will not be Chris Froome and Tom Dumoulin. The "white Kenyan" has already ended the season because of a fall during the reconnaissance of the time trial of the Giro del Dauphiné, while the Dutch cyclist is still paying the after-effects of the fall of the Giro d'Italia. Among the Italians, there is the return of Fabio Aru and the presence of Vincenzo Nibali who, after his second place in the 2019 Giro d'Italia, is looking for glory in France as well.
The 2019 Tour de France will be televised by Rai and Eurosport. The State TV has prepared a very rich schedule with programs designed specifically for the Grande Boucle. Eurosport, on the other hand, will broadcast the 21 stages live on its channels available on the satellite. I favoriti del Tour de France 2019
Due dei favoriti alla vigilia non ci saranno. Froome e Dumoulin hanno dovuto alzato bandiera bianca a causa di due cadute che hanno bloccato la loro preparazione per il Tour de France (il campione inglese ha già finito la stagione). Even without the Ineos and Sunweb rider, the starting list for the 2019 Tour de France is very interesting.
There is last year's Grande Boucle winner Geraint Thomas, supported by teammate Bernal, who showed enviable condition in the races leading up to the 2019 Tour de France. The many climbs and the few time trial kilometers could favor just the Colombian cyclist. Also from Colombia comes another of the favorites to win the 2019 Tour de France: Nairo Quintana. Attention also to Fuglsang, given in great shape, and Adam Yates.
And the Italians? They are not among the favorites of the eve. There's Vincenzo Nibali, back from second place in the Giro d'Italia, who starts without too many ranking ambitions. Fabio Aru returns to a grand tour after the operation suffered during the winter that has precluded his participation in the Giro d'Italia. The Sardinian cyclist will test his form and understand during the race if he can aspire to a leading role. There is also Elia Viviani who will try to win some stages and snatch the points jersey from Sagan.
Tour de France 2019: stage schedule
The stage schedule of the Tour de France 2019 changes from day to day and depends on the length and difficulty of the route. Usually the departure is scheduled between 12:00 and 13:00, while the arrival is set between 16:00 and 17:30.
All 21 stages of the 2019 Tour de France will be broadcast live on TV in Italy by Rai and Eurosport.

For the 2019 Tour de France, Rai has put in place a large deployment of forces. For the 2019 Grande Boucle the State TV, in addition to the live broadcast of the race, has prepared three ad hoc programs: the Anteprima Tour, Tour Replay (a sort of Process to the stage) and then Tour di Sera with the highlights of the day's stage. Live coverage of the race will be broadcast from 2 pm on Rai 2, as will Tour Replay (which starts at the end of each stage). The other two programs, however, will be a RaiSport+ HD exclusive.
