Call of Duty: Warzone, challenges with 200 users and new weapons: what changes

Call of Duty: Warzone updates with new game modes, upgraded and depowered weapons. Here's how to download the update

Less than a month before the start of Season 4 of Call of Duty: Warzone, comes a very important new update for the Battle Royale of the moment. Infinity Ward has decided to release a sort of Season 4.5 on June 30, 2020, an event set just over 30 days after the Battle Pass that introduces very interesting new features. The most important is definitely the new game mode quartets with 200 players, 50 more than the previous limit.

This increase will make the games even more hectic, but above all there will be teams able to make more than 100 kills in a single game, setting new records for Call of Duty: Warzone. But the novelties don't end there: a new type of contract has been added, a new series of kills that will let you discover people nearby without being discovered and a new weapon (sniper). In addition, Infinity Ward has also announced big changes for all the weapons present in the game: as was rumored for a few weeks, the Grau, the most used weapon in the game, has been depowered, while others have been improved. Here's everything you need to know about the new Call of Duty: Warzone Season 4 Reloaded update.

The new Call of Duty: Warzone game modes

Few imagined such a substantial update from Infinity Ward and Activision for Call of Duty: Warzone just a few weeks before the start of Season 4. The patch, which will be released at 8:00 a.m. on June 30, brings big news especially in the game modes.

As it was rumored in the previous weeks, the maximum limit of players in the map has been increased from 150 to 200. This is a new special temporary mode and valid only for foursomes. Fifty more people on the game map will change the approach to gameplay and will lead players to shoot a lot more.

This new mode has led the developers to also make adjustments with the Contracts and Kills Series available in the map. A new "Supply Run" contract has been added that allows you to buy armor, ammo, armor crates or equipment drop at reduced prices at the nearest buying station. Additionally, a new kill series called Spotter Scope has been added that allows you to discover nearby enemies without being detected. Very useful especially to escape without being seen.

By now, all users were using the same weapon (Grau) for close and distant combat. And just the Grau had a reduction in damage radius and an increase in recoil when firing at high frequency. The same treatment was given to the MP5. Improved instead the Kar98k, the AX-50, the Dragunov and the AK 47

How heavy the update

On the update front, bad news for players. Once again you need to download more than 20GB, both on consoles and on PC (where in some cases it comes to weigh up to 36GB). PS4 owners must also download an additional 3.5GB update to access Multiplayer.
