Paying with Apple Watch - this is how it's possible

For some time now, it has been possible to pay with the Apple Pay payment method in selected stores in Germany. This contactless method works via your smartphone and the corresponding app. If you have an Apple Watch, you can also use it for payments.

This is how you pay with your Apple Watch

If you would like to pay contactlessly with your smartphone in a store, you can use Apple Pay, for example. To do this, you first need to download and set up the app. If you also have an Apple Watch, you can also use this instead of your iPhone for payment.

1. In addition, everywhere where you can pay with Apple Pay with your smartphone, it is also possible to pay with your Apple Watch.
2. To pay with the Apple Watch, you must first specify a bank account in the app, as with the iPhone, from which the money should be debited.
3. If you now want to use the Apple Watch, you must press the side button twice. Möchten Sie mit einer anderen Karte als Ihrer Standardkarte bezahlen, müssen Sie nochmals auf das Display nach links oder rechts wischen, bis die entsprechende Karte angezeigt wird.
4. Halten Sie dabei das Display Ihrer Apple Watch mit nur wenigen Zentimetern Entfernung an das Lesegerät im Geschäft.
5. Warten Sie, bis die Übertragung durchgeführt wurde.
6. In den meisten Fällen müssen Sie nun unterschreiben oder Ihre PIN für das entsprechende Konto eingeben.
