Thanks to Kindle Direct Publishing, budding writers can hit the ground running. But to do so, you first need a KDP account. Our guide shows how easy it is to create an account.

More than shopping: your Amazon account also allows you to log into KDP.

In the Amazon universe, you can use many features with one account.

Create KDP account: Not at all necessary for Amazon customers

Signing up for Kindle Direct Publishing is done through your regular Amazon account.

• To do so, go to this page.
• There you will see two options on the right: "Sign in" if you already have an Amazon account, and "Register" if you don't.

In both cases, you will find yourself in the KDP menu shortly after. There you can set up your publisher account, starting with basic details such as contact information and bank details and ending with the creation of book collections and cover design tools.
