Fallout 4: Change language - how to do it on PC and console

If you prefer to play Fallout 4 in a language other than German, you have several options to choose from, such as English or Spanish. We'll show you how to change the game's language on PC and console here.

Fallout 4: How to change the language on PC

In addition to German, you can also play Fallout 4 in English, French, Italian or Spanish. However, to play Fallout 4 not in German, but in another language, a change in the settings is necessary.

1. If you are using Fallout 4 on the PC, please start the Steam client first and search for Fallout 4 in the Steam library.
2. Then right-click on the game and select the "Settings" option from the context menu.
3. In the settings, switch to the "Language" tab and select one of the available languages

How to do it on the console

If you are playing Fallout 4 on the console rather than on the PC, language changes are only possible for the entire console. If you have a PlayStation 4, please navigate to "Settings" > "Language" > "System Language" in the main menu and select the desired language. To play Fallout 4 on the Xbox One in another language, however, please make the corresponding change under "Settings" > "System" > "Language & Location" > "Language".
