Asus Zenfone 6: WLAN - how to access the Internet

In order to surf the Internet with your Asus Zenfone 6, it is necessary to connect to the WLAN. However, establishing a connection is only possible if the function is enabled on your Asus smartphone. We explain how to activate the WLAN here.

Asus Zenfone 6: How to enable and disable the WLAN function

Since the Asus Zenfone 6 is WLAN-enabled, accessing the Internet is not only possible via the mobile data of your SIM card, but also by connecting to a WLAN network. Before you connect your Asus Zenfone 6 to a Wi-Fi network, however, you have to activate the function first.
  1. This can be done via the device's quick settings by tapping the "gear icon", going to "Network & Internet" and moving the switch next to the "Wi-Fi" entry to the right.
  2. Alternatively, you can also swipe up from the bottom on the home screen, tap on "Settings" and activate the function under "Network & Internet" > "WLAN".
  3. If you do not use the WLAN function of your device, it can be deactivated again by moving the WLAN switch to the left.

Connect to WLAN on Asus Zenfone 6

Once you have turned on the WLAN function of your Asus Zenfone 6, please tap "WiFi" on the settings screen to view the list of all available WLAN networks. Then tap the name of the network you want to connect your Asus smartphone to and enter the Wi-Fi key for a secured network. Once you have entered the WLAN key, your Zenfone will automatically connect to this network in the future.
