While the fans on a notebook can not be easily addressed directly, but you can regulate the speed by a little trick.

1. First go to the control panel of your notebook.
2. There you navigate further to the energy saving settings and click "Advanced settings".
3. Here you will find the option "Processor power management".
4. Now you can specify a new percentage value at "Maximum power level of the processor".
5. This specifies with which clock speed your processor works and thus reduces the switching on of the fans.
6. Beachten Sie jedoch, dass dadurch die Rechenleistung Ihres Prozessors stark abnehmen kann.

So klappt es mit externer Software

1. Da Sie sicherlich nicht auf Rechenleistung verzichten wollen, empfiehlt sich das Programm SpeedFan.
2. Nach der Installation können Sie die Software ausführen und sehen eine Aufstellung Ihrer Lüfter.
3. Weiter unten im Fenster können Sie nun die Prozentangabe der Lüftergeschwindigkeit anpassen.
4. Achten Sie jedoch beim Ändern der Werte sekündlich auf die Veränderung der Temperatur.
5. Sollte eine zu hohe Temperatur erreicht werden, müssen Sie die Lüfter wieder umgehend aktivieren oder schneller drehen lassen.
