Microsoft Teams is used for video conferencing and chatting. A profile picture personalizes your account and helps to recognize other participants right away. However, it can happen that profile pictures are not displayed in Microsoft Teams. Read here to find out why.
Why your profile picture is not displayed in Microsoft Teams
If your Microsoft Teams account does not display a profile picture, this may be because you have not uploaded a photo of yourself yet. Click the Teams status icon to customize the profile picture. If you haven't uploaded a profile photo yet, click Change Picture. However, depending on the organization, administrators may prevent profile pictures from being displayed. In this case, when you click "Change image", you will get the message "Image options are disabled by policy".Are other images on teams also not displayed?
If not only the profile picture but also other pictures are not displayed, this can have several causes:- Program error: close Teams, restart the PC and open the program again.
- Access: some users report limited functionality in the browser version of Teams. Download the Teams desktop app and try the process again.
- Cache: An overfilled cache folder can likewise cause the app to stop working properly. In this case, close Teams and empty the cache folder.
