iPhone X: Transfer photos to PC without iTunes

Without iTunes: How to transfer photos from iPhone X to PC with iCloud

If you want to transfer your iPhone X photos to PC without using iTunes, it is possible with the help of iCloud. For it to work, make sure you have the latest iOS version installed on your iPhone X, the device is connected to the Wi-Fi network and you have set up iCloud.
  1. To use iCloud to sync your iPhone photos, please navigate to "Settings" > "iCloud" > "Photos" on iPhone X and enable the "iCloud Photos" option.
  2. To access your PC, download iCloud for Windows, open the program and enable "iCloud Photo Library" under "Photos" > "Options".
  3. Now, as soon as you take photos with your iPhone X, they will be automatically added to iCloud Photos and downloaded to the PC.

In addition to using iCloud and iTunes, there is another way to transfer your photos from iPhone X to PC. If you use a Windows PC, this is possible without additional software by connecting the iPhone X to the PC, go to "Devices and Drives" in Windows Explorer, click the name of your iPhone and drag & drop the photos from the "DCIM" folder to the PC.
