Raft: How to build and use anchors - these variants are available

Islands are important places in Raft, as you can find important resources on land and in water. But in order for your raft not to say goodbye while going ashore, you need an anchor. We present the variants.

Going to anchor: In Raft, some groundwork is needed for that, too.

Raft is still in Early Access, but it's by no means unknown. Basics like anchoring are all the more important because of the growing community.

Raft: You can use these anchors

In Raft there are two types of anchors:
  • You place the throw anchor at the edge of the raft. It can be used only once, after that you need a new one.
  • The stationary anchor remains permanently, but requires a little more space. The large structure requires a free area of 3x3 fields, of which, however, the central field must be free - there, finally, the anchor is lowered. Thus, you need a total of eight foundations in the correct arrangement.
Both anchors also work with the sail unfurled - so they are real "brake pedals". If you want the trip to continue, simply retrieve the anchor. By the way, if you don't have an anchor, you can try "parking" the raft at the island so that it doesn't continue to drift with the current.
