Archived chats are not directly visible, however, all options are available to you if needed. That includes deleting them, and our guide shows you how.

Deleting archived chats is basically done in the same way as for non-archived chats.

Telegram: How to delete archived chats permanently

You can delete an archived chat with the following steps:

1. Open the overview of archived chats.
2. Hold your finger on the chat in question for about a second.
3. Thereupon it is highlighted and more options appear at the top. There you tap on the trash can icon.

The chat is deleted in this way and is then neither in the overview nor in the archive to find.
