How to transfer old content from Telegram to a new cell phone

When setting up a new cell phone, the question often arises as to what extent data and content from the applications on the previous device can be transferred. Fortunately, it is possible to transfer old chats to a new smartphone even without a Telegram backup:

1. Download the Telegram app on your new device via the Play Store (Android) or App Store (Apple).
2. Open Telegram and log in with the same credentials you used on the old smartphone.
3. Once you are successfully logged in, you will have full access to all previous chat messages, unless they were previously deleted manually by you.
4. However, this procedure only works if you have a new phone, but still use the same number. In such a case, you should ensure access to Telegram from another device, for example, a PC, and enter the new number there for identification.
